After that, DeSantis and his spouse, Casey, departed from the advisors to have a private discussion in the home located above. They concluded that he would end a campaign that had no viable way to proceed . When they reached the advisers again, DeSantis had already jotted down some lines that would be used in his declaration that he was suspending the campaign.
